Food Chemistry and Safety
COURSE OVERVIEW
The “Food Chemistry and Safety” micro-credential program is a two-week intensive course designed to provide essential knowledge and practical skills in food chemistry and safety.
The program explores the chemical components of food, including carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals, and examines the chemical reactions that affect food quality and shelf life.
Participants will learn about food additives and preservatives, food safety standards and regulations, including HACCP principles, as well as strategies for microbial safety and contamination prevention.
