Fundamentals of Financial Mathematics
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course prepares potential actuaries for international actuarial and risk management accreditation exams, such as SOA FM, IFoA CM1, and CFA Level I. It provides a foundational understanding of financial mathematics concepts, focusing on calculating present and accumulated values of various cash flow streams. The course covers essential topics such as compound interest, annuities, Loan repayments, measuring the rate of return of an investment, term structure of interest rates and forward rates, bond valuation, duration and convexity.
