COURSE OVERVIEW
This short course provides essential knowledge and practical skills for the safe and responsible management of biological waste materials in laboratory and healthcare settings. Participants will learn about the types of biological waste, associated risks, and best practices for segregation, storage, transportation, treatment, and disposal, following local and international regulations. Emphasis will be placed on minimizing environmental and health impacts, ensuring compliance with biosafety standards, and the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and spill response procedures.
